Your furnace filter does not filter the air you breathe. Your furnace filter’s main job is to protect the furnace’s filter motor. That filter you change every so often only has one purpose, to protect your furnace’s motor. It’s not designed to remove pollution from the air in your home. To ensure you and your family are breathing the cleanest air possible, you need a filter that circulates the air, cleaning it constantly.

A regular home air filter is not equipped to filter particles smaller than 1 micron. However, 85% of particles in the air are smaller than 0.3 microns. That presents a problem with regular filters.

A HEPA filter is 99.97% efficient at removing the 0.3-micron particles. And it i s 95% efficient at removing the particles that are 0.1 microns. It captures bacteria, viruses such as COVID-19, mould, pollen, and other irritants. As it cycles, it reduces all particulate matter to zero at the source.
